The Romy glass wall lamp reinvents 1930s charm with a long, transparent cylinder held by a brass-effect gold finish steel mount. Designed to enhance a hallway, bedroom, or the area around a bathroom mirror, it brings warm light and a slender silhouette to your walls that is reminiscent of interiors of the past. Its bold retro look pairs just as well with marble and velvet as it does with cement tiles or antique woodwork, for a timeless ambiance that transcends trends without ever going out of style.
A glass wall lamp with a bold retro design
The Romy stands out for its transparent glass cylinder, held vertically by a slender gold steel structure. This elongated silhouette adds height to the wall and easily slips on either side of a mirror or headboard, creating an elegant and symmetrical composition. The transparency of the glass reveals the bulb installed inside, while the gold finish warms up the piece and adds character to the room. This contrast between raw material and a warm finish makes this glass wall lamp a choice piece for recreating an atmosphere of yesteryear without ever seeming dated. It blends with noble materials like marble or woodwork, and naturally finds its place alongside our vintage pendant lights, to create a coherent decoration from floor to ceiling in the same room.
Features and finishes of this glass wall lamp
This glass wall lamp measures 45.7 cm in height, 12 cm in width, and has a 11.3 cm projection—proportions studied for an elegant look without cluttering the wall. It takes an E14 bulb of 40 W maximum, not included: a warm white LED filament bulb is recommended to highlight its retro look, as the filament remains visible through the glass cylinder. Its IP20 rating restricts it to indoor use; in a bathroom, it must be installed away from water splash zones. As with any wall-mounted light source, the electrical installation of this glass wall lamp should be entrusted to a qualified professional, ensuring a secure and durable connection. Its transparent cylinder and gold mount harmonize with our other gold finish pieces, for a decorative set that is coherent from one room to the next in your home.
How to install and pair your glass wall lamp
Installed in pairs, on either side of a mirror or bed, this glass wall lamp creates a particularly chic symmetrical composition. Around a mirror, place each lamp 10 to 15 cm from the edges, with the center of the cylinder at face level, between 1.60 and 1.70 m from the floor, for flattering lighting that minimizes unsightly shadows on the face. Near a bed, a mounting height between 1.30 and 1.50 m is perfect for reading, as a complement to our bedside lamps. Aligned along a hallway, this glass wall lamp sets the pace with elegance: allow for a spacing of 1.5 to 2.5 m between each light source for a regular and harmonious effect. It also complements a dining room dressed in a glass pendant light, for a play of materials that is consistent from one light fixture to another; discover our selection of glass pendant lights with complementary lines in this regard.
With its transparent cylinder and gold mount, this glass wall lamp brings extra character to your walls, whether it frames a mirror, watches over a headboard, or marks the rhythm of a long hallway. Find this model as well as all of our wall-mounted creations in our wall lamp collection, designed to create lighting that is both practical and elegant in every room of your home.
